Project Objectives
Rise & Shine aims to solve the small annoyances with alarm clock apps that lead to drastic changes in users' moods throughout their days. Research found that things like the sounds users wake up to, the vibe and aesthetic of the first thing they see, and the ease of setting and stopping alarms dramatically affected the way users woke up.
Scope of Work
This design for a fresh and creative alarm clock app was carefully researched and fully developed from logo design and branding to app design, then presented and critiqued in PowerPoint and video form. Finally, a website design was created for the project.
Project Outcome
Rather than blaring siren sounds, this app connects with the user's favorite music streaming app (like Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, etc.) so they can wake up to their favorite song or playlist. When an alarm goes off, users can easily swipe down to snooze or stop the alarm, or swipe up to stop the alarms and start their day with an encouraging quote. An attractive and user-friendly interface alarms to be easily set with or without snooze increments.
